Multiple Breed Rescue

Lewis is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Lewis came to our rescue as part of a humane case with many dogs being removed from the home. Please note that we do not know for sure what breed mix he may be. He lived his whole life on a chain in a muddy backyard. Lewis is now learning to be a dog. He’s figured out that belly rubs while laying on a couch are amazing and that toys (especially squeaky toys!) are meant to be played with. Some of his likes include car rides, playing with his foster fur brother, and going for walks.

Lewis is crate trained and doing well with house training. He really loves to be outside despite previously living in harsh conditions. He seems to be cat friendly. He enjoys walking, sniffing, porch sitting, patrolling the back ard, etc. He does still have some learning to do as anything besides the few feet he could reach from his chain is a whole new world to him. Lewis would benefit from a family that can dedicate the time he needs to acclimate to all the amazing things he’s missed out on his whole life.

Suzi is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Suzi is very athletic and will make a great companion for someone who loves to be active; maybe even get in to some agility classes or a running partner. She is house trained and crate trained; she goes into her crate nicely and waits patiently to be let out. She is smart and knows some basic commands but could still benefit from a refresher course. Suzi enjoys tennis balls and playing with all different types of toys. And she loves tummy rubs!

Nancy is available for adoption from Multiple Breed Rescue.

Nancy was in a city kennel and they reached out to MBR when they realized she needs special attention and medical care. While she is young and very happy, she has an unknown condition that causes her muscles to fatigue quickly, making her a special needs dog. Nancy has been seen by several vets and specialists to try and determine exactly what the cause of her problem is, and no one has been able to tell us anything definitive.

Nancy loves to play and is very loving. Nancy is not a dog who will be able to take long walks/hikes or chase a ball for a long period of time. Some days she may be able to walk down the street, while other days she may not. Nancy’s back legs seem to fatigue very quickly and begin to quiver which causes her to lay down immediately (she is not in any pain or distress when this happens). Sometimes she gets right back up and continues her activity while other times she needs to lay for a few minutes. Nancy is full of love and life and is looking for a family who can understand her limitations.
