ELYRIA — A Lorain woman has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges in connection with a week-and-a-half-long string of armed robberies in the county in May.

Amber Blackburn, 27, of Lorain, pleaded guilty Monday to multiple counts of aggravated robbery and robbery before Judge Mark Betleski. Blackburn was sentenced to three years in prison, according to court documents.

Police had said Blackburn was part of a trio arrested in connection to six robberies of businesses in the county — convenience stores, gas stations and a restaurant. Philip Boschetti, 24, of Elyria, and Alan Wharton, 30, of Lorain, also were involved in the spree, according to police.

On May 21, S&B Gas at 5411 Pearl Ave. was robbed. Six days later, Convenient Food Mart Express, 42163 North Ridge Road, was robbed.

Four more robberies followed within the next 54 hours, concluding with the robbery of Denny’s at 640 Tillotson St. in Elyria, shortly before 6 a.m. May 30.

During a video arraignment of the three in Elyria Municipal Court in May, the prosecutor said firearms were believed to be used in all of the robberies. Police have said Boschetti and Blackburn were dating, and Wharton is believed to have been the getaway driver.

In October, Boschetti pleaded guilty to an amended indictment in connection with the robberies and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, according to court documents. Boschetti had been on judicial release after serving time for two armed robberies in 2014. He was sentenced to serve out the rest of his sentence from the 2014 case.

He is set to be released from prison in 2038, according to prison records.

Earlier this month, Wharton pleaded guilty to charges in connection to the robberies and was sentenced to five years in prison.
