The suspect in an Elyria Township bank robbery earlier this week was arrested Friday evening.
Christopher Stanley, of Lorain, was wanted in connection with the robbery of the Northwest Savings Bank on North Ridge Road Monday morning. He was apprehended shortly after 5 p.m. Friday at an East River Road home in Columbia Township, according to a news release from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
Stanley surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held without bond at the Lorain County Jail. He will have an initial court appearance Monday.
Stanley’s arrest was a combined effort between the Sheriff’s Office, Lorain County Drug Task Force, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
