Stella Horvatich (nee Woloszanski), 99, of Sheffield Village, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, after a sudden illness. She was born January 1, 1919 in Akron and had resided in Sheffield Village since 1956. Last year, she moved into the Abbewood in Elyria.
Stella enjoyed having her family around her and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Frances Blank (Gregory) of Brighton and Frank D. Horvatich III of LaGrange; grandchildren, Nicholas Blank of Brighton and Allison Donel (Tim) of Pickerington; great-grandchildren, James and Nora Donel and brother, Joseph Wolzanski (Mary Ellen) of Lewis, Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Horvatich in 1999; daughter, Stephanie Horvatich in 2016; parents, Nicholas and Anna Woloszanski (nee Kulczyski); sister, Mary Orlinski and brothers, Alex and Edward Woloszanski.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 26, 2018 from 11 A.M. until closing prayers at 1 P.M. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
